About the host city
Corrientes is the capital of Corrientes Province in Northeast Argentina (NEA). ISTCP 2027 is the first congress of the International Society for Theoretical Chemical Physics held in the Southern Hemisphere — with sessions at the Centro de Convenciones Corrientes and partner lodging starting with Marriott Corrientes on the Paraná Costanera.

Chamamé & culture
Chamamé is central to Corrientes identity and is recognised by UNESCO. Historic plazas, churches and the colonial-era centre reward a full day of walking.
Iberá wetlands
One of the world’s great wetland systems. From Corrientes, portals such as San Nicolás (~163 km) or Cambyretá (via Ituzaingó, ~230 km) are typical day-trip or overnight bases; always check road conditions after rain.

Getting here
By air
Corrientes International Airport (CNQ) has regular connections via Buenos Aires (e.g. low-cost and full-service carriers). Resistencia Airport (RES) across the river is an alternate. From the airport, taxi or hotel transfer to the Costanera / downtown.
By bus
Long-distance coaches link Corrientes with Buenos Aires and major Argentine cities. From the terminal, use taxi or rideshare to hotels and the convention centre.
