Oral Presentation Guidelines
Technical and timing guidelines for invited, plenary, keynote and communication talks.
Before your talk
Speakers should arrive early at the session room, test slides with the AV team, and keep to the allotted time so the programme stays on schedule.
Slides
Prefer widescreen (16:9) PDF or PowerPoint. Embed fonts or use standard typefaces. Bring a backup on USB and in cloud storage.
Timing
Exact durations (including Q&A) depend on session type and will be listed in the programme and your acceptance email.
Language
Congress language is English. Speak clearly toward the microphone; leave time for questions when scheduled.
On site
- Check in with the session chair 15–20 minutes before your slot.
- Confirm laser pointer / slide advance preferences with AV staff.
- Videos: test codecs in advance; have a still-image fallback.
- Disclose conflicts of interest when relevant.
